We had the pleasure of conducting a sunset tour for the Executives of the City of Greater Geraldton including Mayor Jerry Clune, Councillors and CEO. They were impressed with the symbolism and surprised at the magnitude of the tragedy.
Although a small number of people on board this ship they were able to take tours and buses to visit the sites of Geraldton, including the HMAS Sydney II Memorial, one of Australia’s most significant Memorials.
At least 1619 passengers and crew came ashore to visit our beautiful city, and we hosted many of them at the HMAS Sydney II Memorial for tours. It was a beautiful day and thanks to all of our friendly Tour Guides made their visit one to remember.
